Luedinghausen also has cultural pursuits on offer: the defence castles (Burg) of Luedinghausen and Vischering, or the Felizitas-Church with the broadest pillars in the world, are all worth a visit and all within walking distance. And the famous castle, Schloss Nordkirchen, also known as the Versailles of the North, is only 7km away.
One of the highlights of the Muensterland is the 100-Castles Route (Schlösser-Route), particularly loved by cyclists. Luedinghausen lies more or less on this stretch and offers an exit point for cyclists and motorists alike. Should you wish to visit a large town during your stay then Muenster and the Ruhr District are less than an hour’s drive.
